Landmark Africa Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager.

Since opening our doors in 1997, Landmark has provided serviced offices, real estate development, market research and event hosting services to over 5000 organisations.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and business opportunities in the real estate, leisure and hospitality sectors across Africa.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and engage with potential clients, partners, and investors to generate leads and expand the company’s business network.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients, showcasing the company’s capabilities, projects, and value proposition.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, agreements, and partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and successful deal closures.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and maximize business opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives and market positioning.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project teams, legal, finance, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate the development and execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and track business development activities, pipeline development, and revenue generation efforts, providing regular reports and insights to the management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or corporate development roles, preferably within the real estate, construction, or infrastructure sectors in Africa.
  • Strong understanding of the real estate, leisure and hospitality market dynamics, industry trends, and business practices in Africa.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of achieving sales targets and business growth objectives.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
